The latest Forrester Research suggests that record online sales are predicted this Christmas!

It's estimated that over £13.8bn is set to be spent by the UK's 27 million e-shoppers during the Christmas season. The rise in online spending is being put down to many factors including more choice, convenience and better prices available online.

But have they overlooked one major factor - the state of the economy. With an impending credit crunch generally acknowledged 'hidden' inflation and unemployment figures massaged to an incredible degree is the picture as really as rosy as everyone thinks?
